Construction begins to build new playground at Ascarate Park

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A new playground will be added to Ascarate Park.
The structure will be built where an older playground currently exists.
“The goal for the all-inclusive playground will be for every child to enjoy including children that hav special needs,” non-profit group, Moms On Board, founder Adrianne Moody said.
The group was able to raise funds with help from donations in the El Paso community.
They are trying to spread the word about their "Pave The Way To Play" fundraiser for the new structure.
El Pasoans are able to buy special bricks that will be displayed around the playground once it’s built.
The COVID-19 pandemic pushed back construction on the new playground at Ascarate Park, but the group hopes to break ground later this year.
